Well party people, that about wraps it up for Australia's second V Festival. We hope you were as blown away as we were! Whether you spent your time dancing, chatting or just standing back and listening, huge thanks go out to you all for making V Festival 2008 one to remember.

Two down, two to go...

The Sydney and Gold Coast V Festivals have wrapped up and packed up. Whether you found yourself at The Pumkins, The Presets or Duran Duran in those final hours, we hope you all had a blast!

Keep an eye out for the Sideshows as they roll down the coast toward the second round of V Festivals at Melbourne and Perth... you aren't too late to grab a ticket or two - head here for all the details.

IMPORTANT NEWS - Gold Coast gates now opening at 2pm.

Due to the issues created by continued wet weather on the gold coast, V Festival has been forced to amend its starting time to 2pm, rather than the originally advertised 12:45pm.

We've spent many sleepless nights destroying our health, sacrificing personal relationships and (far, far more importantly) scheduling the acts in such a way that everyone will be able to see as much of everything as possible, and to minimize clashes. It's no secret that festivals can be confusing places. Planning your day out can be an art form unto itself - so much music, so little time! We all know what it's like to suddenly realise the band you were waiting patiently to strut out onto the stage have already strutted out onto a stage at the other side of the venue... over half an hour ago...

Well fear not: to combat this very problem the boys down at the lab have developed the Virgin Mobile Festival Buddy, a completely free-to-download little application that fits snugly in your mobile phone (and therefore fits snugly in your pocket unless you haven't upgraded since the 80's!)

Changes to Line-Up

Mika has advised V Festival Australia that he will unfortunately be unable to perform at the V Festival in Australia due to conflicts that have recently arisen with the production schedule for the recording of his follow-up album.

Garage to V Returns!

The Virgin Mobile crew have teamed up with FasterLouder.com.au to bring back the 'Garage to V' competition for V Festival '08. Its eyes firmly locked on Australia's unsigned musical talent, 'Garage to V' intends to propel one hopeful band into stardom – beginning their career playing beside none other than The Smashing Pumpkins and Duran Duran!

V Festival Australia proudly announces the return of the mighty V Festival in 2008 – now touring nationally and once again staunchly supported by our pals at Virgin Mobile.

Rewind to March 2007 when over 50,000 fans flipped their proverbial lids to spectacular performances from such once-in-a-lifetime, gold-ticket music luminaries as Pixies, Beck, Pet Shop Boys, Groove Armada, Gnarls Barkley, Phoenix, The Rapture, Jarvis Cocker, Soulwax et al in the serenity of Sydney’s Centennial Park and the stunning surrounds of the Avica Resort’s undulating green hills in the heart of the Gold Coast.
